Frequently asked questions
How do I grant Screen Recording permission on macOS?
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording and enable SnipMark, then quit and reopen the app. macOS may ask you to restart SnipMark after granting access. This permission is used only when you capture a screen region; SnipMark never records in the background.
Where is the Share Extension on iPhone?
In any app with a Share button, tap Share → More → SnipMark. If SnipMark is not listed, scroll to the bottom of the share sheet, tap Edit Actions, and enable SnipMark.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Open the SnipMark Pro screen and choose Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account used for the purchase. If Pro still does not appear, email us with your App Store receipt.
Why is there a watermark on my exports?
The free plan adds a small “Marked with SnipMark” watermark and allows up to 3 screenshots per session. Pro Lifetime removes the watermark and unlocks unlimited screenshots.
Does SnipMark upload my screenshots?
No. Capture, annotation, compression, renaming, and export happen on your device. SnipMark has no server for your images and no account system.
How do I delete my data?
Delete sessions inside SnipMark, or uninstall the app. Sessions are also deleted automatically 24 hours after their last update. Everything is stored locally, so uninstalling removes the app’s data from your device. Exports you saved elsewhere are not affected.
System requirements
SnipMark requires macOS 14 Sonoma or later on Mac, and iOS 17 or later on iPhone and iPad. A single Pro purchase unlocks both platforms with the same Apple Account.
